Cains Brewery Village: A Guide to Places to Eat, Drink and Visit

Cains Brewery Village has become one of the Baltic Triangle’s most popular places to eat, drink, shop and enjoy a day or night out in Liverpool.

Set within the historic former Cains Brewery site, the area is now home to a huge mix of independent businesses, food halls, bars, live music venues, gaming experiences and shops, with something different around almost every corner.

From grabbing street food at Baltic Market and enjoying drinks at BOXPARK to crazy golf, arcade games, live music and independent shopping, there is plenty to explore across the Brewery Village.

Whether you are visiting for the first time or heading back to see what is new, here are some of the places worth checking out at Cains Brewery Village.

Baltic Market

A stop at Baltic Market is a must for something exciting and tasty. This is the first street food market we’ve ever had in Liverpool, and mighty fine it is, too. It opens from Wednesday through to Sunday every week and allows you to enjoy some of the best of Liverpool’s thriving independent foodie scene. Scrumptious stone-baked pizzas, finger-licking fried chicken, desserts, gin, halloumi fries, and so much more are available here.

The venue comes to life on Saturday nights with a live band or resident DJ providing music. You can also bring your dog along.

BOXPARK Liverpool

BOXPARK Liverpool is the brand’s first location outside London, in Liverpool’s Cains Brewery Village. The entertainment venue is open to everyone who loves street food, live sports and regular events.

Why not pop in to see what all the fuss is about?

Golf Fang

If you fancy something a little different, Golf Fang brings crazy golf, street art and plenty of entertainment to Cains Brewery Village.

The venue is known for its colourful, immersive golf course, with each hole featuring bold designs and plenty of photo opportunities along the way. Visitors can also try karaoke, AR darts and arcade games, making it a good option for groups, date nights or anyone looking for an activity alongside food and drinks.

Punch Tarmey’s Liverpool

Located in the heart of the Baltic Triangle at Cains Brewery Village, Punch Tarmey’s is one of the city’s largest and most vibrant Irish bars. The venue combines traditional Irish pub character with a modern party atmosphere.

Expect live music, DJs, big screens for sport, and plenty of space to soak up the buzz across its impressive indoor and outdoor areas. Whether it’s a big match, a live band, or a weekend session with mates, Punch Tarmey’s brings proper Liverpool energy to the Baltic.

ArCains

Gaming fans will want to make a stop at ArCains, a huge arcade venue spread across several floors at Cains Brewery Village.

The venue is packed with classic arcade machines, modern games, consoles, pinball and plenty of nostalgic favourites. With something for different ages, it is also one of the more family-friendly places to visit around the Brewery Village during the daytime.

Red Brick Market

For something away from the bars and restaurants, Red Brick Market is home to a huge collection of independent traders under one roof.

Visitors can browse everything from vintage clothing and artwork to handmade gifts, homeware, records, jewellery and unusual finds. With traders regularly changing and new stock arriving all the time, it is the kind of place where no two visits are exactly the same.

Open seven days a week, it is well worth adding to your Cains Brewery Village itinerary if you enjoy shopping independent.

Jacaranda Baltic

Music lovers should also check out Jacaranda Baltic, the sister venue of Liverpool’s legendary Jacaranda on Slater Street.

Located at Cains Brewery Village, the venue combines a record store with a live music space and regularly welcomes artists for performances, album launches and special events.

With Liverpool’s music heritage running through the venue, it is a great addition to the area for anyone looking to discover new music or pick up some vinyl while exploring the Baltic Triangle.

CONTENT has become one of the Baltic Triangle’s major live entertainment venues, hosting everything from gigs and club nights to special events.

The venue is also the Liverpool home of Bongo’s Bingo, the hugely popular night combining bingo with music, dancing, prizes and plenty of surprises.

With a constantly changing events calendar, it is worth checking what is happening at CONTENT before heading to Cains Brewery Village.

The Yellow Sub Bar

If you want a unique place to drink in Liverpool, then The Yellow Sub bar is a must-visit. Aside from the nod to The Beatles, The Yellow Sub bar has an intriguing history as it was initially constructed to be used in The Hunt for Red October and bought from Paramount Studios. Before finding its home at Cains Brewery Village, it was also a stunning floating hotel for many years by The Albert Dock. Inside, it feels like a step back to a ’60s bar you wish existed.

There is a fun graffiti wall, all the Beatles memorabilia, MINI car features, a disco ball, and a stage inspired by the iconic Cavern Bar. Three drinks that are worth trying are the Beatles-inspired Yello Sub cocktail, made from Bacardi, malibu, orange juice and pineapple juice and Ringo Starr, which is made from prosecco, vanilla vodka, pineapple juice, passionfruit juice and passoa, and the Lennon, which is made from tequila, grenadine and orange juice.

Ryde Bicycle Café

An exciting place, Ryde Bicycle Café, was first opened in 2016. It combines a passion for excellent coffee, great food, and bikes and has become vital to the city’s cycling community. There is a wide array of lovely food for breakfast and lunch and fantastic coffee.

Where do the bikes come in? They have a fully equipped workshop, offer various bike repairs and services, and stock various parts, accessories and clothes.

Picante

Seasonal addition for summer 2026

Picante has returned to Cains Brewery Village for another summer, bringing its Ibiza-inspired outdoor bar and party atmosphere back to the Baltic Triangle.

The seasonal venue offers food, cocktails, DJs and events throughout the warmer months, creating a laid-back outdoor spot for drinks during the day before things get livelier into the evening.

Picante is currently scheduled to remain open until the end of September 2026, so this section should be removed or updated once the summer season comes to an end.

With many other great places to eat, drink and shop, as well as entertainment options, Cains Brewery Village is one of the best places to spend a day or night in Liverpool.
