Showing no fear in the name of charity, local learning & development business partner Amanda Manning has set herself new heights for her latest fundraising challenge.
Amanda will be joining a team of fundraisers on Saturday 10th July 2021 to abseil down the side of Liverpool’s historic Anglican Cathedral to raise vital funds for the Owen McVeigh Foundation.
The Owen McVeigh Foundation provide support to children and their families who are suffering from cancer in Merseyside. The foundation was established by Joanne and Mark McVeigh in honour of their son Owen, a passionate Liverpool FC supporter who tragically died at the age of 11 shortly after being diagnosed with leukaemia in December 2015.
The aim of the foundation is to enrich the lives of local children suffering with terminal illness by providing them and their families with opportunities of money-cannot-buy experiences.
Amanda who isn’t shy of getting stuck into activities to raise funds for the foundation, has previously abseiled down the cathedral as well as climbed the heights of Snowdon.
Also an Ambassador for the award winning CIC The Inclusive Hub, Amanda’s passion to support key places within Liverpool is second to none.
A Justgiving page has been set up, with Amanda successfully hitting her original target set, but every donation made goes towards the fantastic work the foundation turns out each year to support families during unprecedented times.
