Beer At The Pier is returning to Southport this weekend, bringing two days of Bavarian beers, German food and live music to the seafront.
The free, family-friendly Oktoberfest-themed festival takes place on Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 September 2026, running from midday until late on both days.
Following the success of last year’s event, Beer At The Pier has been extended from one day to a full weekend for 2026.
The festival will take over the area inside and outside Silcock’s Pier Family Restaurant, on the Southport Pier forecourt, as well as the Balcony Bar overlooking Kings Gardens and the Marine Lake.
Organised by Silcock Leisure Group and Southport Hesketh Round Table, the weekend will feature Bavarian beers, German-inspired food, live entertainment, children’s activities and Oktoberfest decorations.
Bavarian beers and German food
Festival-goers will be able to choose from three Bavarian beers on draught from ABK brewery, which has been brewing beer in Bavaria for more than 700 years.
The Balcony Bar will also be serving German-themed cocktails alongside Jägermeister, glühwein, wine, prosecco, cider, spirits and alcohol-free options.
Food will have a suitably German flavour too, with dishes including bratwurst sausages, chicken schnitzel and sauerkraut.
Silcock’s popular Black Forest doughnuts will also return alongside apple strudels for those looking for something sweet.
Live music throughout the weekend
Live entertainment will begin from 1pm each day and continue until late, with a line-up featuring:

The Silcock’s team and Southport Hesketh Round Table volunteers will be getting into the spirit of the occasion by dressing in traditional Bavarian costumes.
Visitors are encouraged to join them in fancy dress, with prizes available for some of the best outfits.
Southport Hesketh Round Table will also hold a raffle during the festival, with proceeds supporting community initiatives in the local area.
Beer At The Pier opening ceremony
Southport Town Crier Kevin Ruane MBE will officially open Beer At The Pier at midday on Saturday.
The festival is completely free to attend, with no admission charge.

“As well as our Beer At The Pier Festival, Kings Gardens has lots to offer families too.
“Our iconic Silcock’s Carousel will be open all day, as will Silcock’s Funland and our Hall of Mirrors.
“Head down and play a round of crazy golf at Masters Putting Green, enjoy the boats on the Marine Lake, try the adventure playground, look around the Model Railway Village, or walk around the lake or through King’s Gardens.
