Europe’s leading golf retailer, American Golf, is hosting a week of celebratory activities at its Aintree and Netherley retail stores to pay homage to the 151st Open, which is this year being held at Royal Liverpool, Hoylake.
Taking place 10am-5pm from Monday 17th to Sunday 23rd July, golfing buddies, families, and friends alike are being invited to head down to their nearest retail store (Aintree based at Aintree Shopping Park and Netherley at Liverpool Golf Centre) to enjoy activities golfers of all abilities – including those completely green to the green – can get involved in.
An exciting pressure putt challenge will take centre stage at both stores testing visitors’ ability to sink six consecutive putts in under 1 minute 51 seconds – moving back 2ft after each successful putt. If the participant misses, then it’s back to the beginning. Successful putters will be entered into a prize draw to win a Limited-Edition Scotty Cameron putter, one of the finest milled putters in the world created by Scotty Cameron, master craftsman to golf’s greatest players.
In addition, the first 151 customers into each store will receive a goodie bag containing a selection of items from the Stromberg The Open collection, an officially licensed range of stylish apparel, high-tech golfing accessories and equipment available exclusively at American Golf. Visitors will also be able to peruse the latest SS23 The Open Collection which is available now at both the Aintree and Netherley stores.
The first 20 children through each store’s doors will also receive their own goodie bag including exciting items selected to set them up for the summer holidays like water bottles and backpacks.
