Nothing says Christmas quite like the warm welcoming sound of a brass band on a chilly winters day! Whether you are taking a trip down memory lane, or making new memories with younger members of the family The Wheelbarrow’s Brass, Bubbles and Baubles Festive Afternoon Tea is the perfect way to start the countdown to the big day!

Relax in a magical winter wonderland surrounded by twinkling lights, garlands and the stunning Wheelbarrow Christmas tree as you prepare to enjoy the magic of the festive classics performed on brass.

On Saturday 14th December The Wheelbarrow, next to Greenbank Sports Academy,  are hosting the very talented Allerton Brass Band for an afternoon of foot-tapping,  sing-along fun, while guests enjoy a freshly prepared Festive Afternoon Tea, bursting with seasonal flavours and traditional favourites.   

The traditional stand includes a selection of Roast turkey with pork and leek stuffing and cranberry, Snowdonia cheddar cheese with Yorkshire ham and a mustard mayonnaise as well as Smoked salmon with cream cheese and dill. Sweets include and assortment of Christmas themed cakes as well as the classic sultana scones with clotted cream and jam as well as a selection of handmade chocolates.  Enjoy a glass of fizz on arrival to get you into the swing of things and a pot of freshly brewed loose-leaf English breakfast tea to accompany your festive feast.  

With sittings available at 1pm or 3.30pm and bookings can be made for meat or vegetarian options only.  Dietary alternatives are not available for this event. 

Tickets for this memorable afternoon are £36 per person (£40.70 per person including the Eventbrite booking fee).

Festive Wreath Making – with Crafty Monkey on Thursday 4th December.  Tickets are available on Eventbrite and cost £50 per person (plus £4.88 booking fee). You can book tickets here.
