Nova Scotia Liverpool

  • July 10, 2022
  • Editor

Sitting pretty on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront and brimming full of history, Nova Scotia is a welcomed addition to the city’s food and drink scene.

Located within Mann Island, the venue is the perfect fit when rubbing shoulders with the stunning Three Graces and the world-famous waterfront.

Rich in history, the venue takes its name from the area, which was previously a shanty town called Nova Scotia. The area has an incredible past as a pivotal dock with links to Canada’s lumber trade and how Mann Island came to be, back in the 19th century.

The independent bar and eatery not only serves up stunning views of the city’s waterfront, it also offers a great selection of breakfasts, lunches, small plates, hearty mains, and delicious deserts.

Dishes include a range of brioche and egg brekkies and full English options; six Nova Burgers including PS Scotia, Marco Polo, and Royal Charter; sandwiches and Dockside Hotdogs; and mains including Traditional Scouse, Fish and Chips, and a healthy Rainbow Salad. Sides include seasoned fries and beer-battered onion rings.

The dessert menu will have you making that extra room with selections such as Sticky Toffee Pudding, Nova Scotia Fruit Crumble, Signature Brownie, and Cheesecake Special.

Nova Scotia has an elective range of drinks and signature cocktails, including Jamaica Street and Sea Brow Iced Tea, to classic Nova Scotia Old Fashioned and French Martini cocktails. There’s a wide selection of wines and draft and bottled beers available, as well as soft and hot drinks.

Whether it’s a pitstop for breakfast before the working day starts, lunch dates, meetings during working hours, or pulling up a seat outside for cocktails while socialising with friends and family, Nova Scotia ticks all the boxes.

Nova Scotia follows on from the award-winning, historic Ma Boyle’s Alehouse and Eatery and also Tempest on Tithebarn.
