Liverpool has been ranked the safest city in the UK and is arguably the secure capital of the UK according to Confused.com.
A survey and study was carried out by Confused.com, looking into the safest and least safest cities in the UK. People of the public were asked if they felt safe or not in their city.
The consumer survey asked residents of each city how safe they feel on a scale of 1-5 (5 being very safe, 1 being not safe at all)
Data was also used from the last 3 years ranging from a number of factors such as sense of security to the number of CCTV cameras and Police Officers.
The study used the metrics and data to rank the top 10 most secure postcode groups in the UK.
The data showed that Liverpool has 35,254 CCTV cameras across the city, the most of any major city in the UK. Liverpool has a total of 3,588 police officers and has a low crime rate, with just over 59,000 reports in one year, this is compared to the UK average of 71,000.
