“McCartney Street” is unveiled to celebrate Sir Paul McCartney’s 80th birthday.

To celebrate the 80th birthday of Sir Paul McCartney, Liverpool BID Company is setting the scene for a birthday bash on Mathew Street.

The site of the Cavern, it’s one of the most famous music streets in the world. Every year hundreds of thousands of Beatles fans visit to pay their respects and see where the Fab Four all began.

On Friday 17 June, Liverpool BID Company will be decorating Mathew Street with colourful signage and banners as it is unveiled as “McCartney Street” wishing “Love from Liverpool”.

From both entrances of Mathew Street, at North John Street and Stanley Street, the new signage will be installed on Friday 17 June and will stay in place until 24 June.
