Wallasey Rugby Club is hosting a huge FREE family fun day on Saturday 17th August from 1pm. The fun-filled day will feature a pre-season friendly, a bouncy castle, an assault course, a picnic area, vocalist Lucinda Jones and a DJ, donkey rides, face painting, games with prizes, a BBQ, an ice cream van, a sweet stall, and more.

The event is open to everyone and is the perfect thing to do during the summer holidays. Whether you’re a rugby fan or not, there’s something for all the family. Many of the activities are free, while the bouncy castle costs £3 for unlimited use, facepainting costs just £4, and a donkey ride costs just £4.

Located in a gorgeous setting on Cross Lane just off Leasowe Road, Wallasey Rugby Club has a recently refurbished clubhouse and acres of land. The club is very friendly, with a strong sense of community and togetherness. The family fun day welcomes both adults and children to come and enjoy fun in the sun this August.

If you’d like to get involved in rugby for the new season, or would like to enquire for your child, it’s the perfect opportunity to see what the club is all about. Otherwise, it’s just a great thing to do during the holidays — packed with activities, fun and games to keep the kids occupied and entertained all day.

Wallasey RUFC’s Social Committee Leader Jack Doyle-Knight said:

“This event really is the epitome of what our club is all about — fun, community and togetherness. Rugby clubs are important institutions in society where people become part of a family and it’s important to extend that out to the wider community for them to be part of us and the values we stand for.”

“We know that’s it’s been tough out there for some families so we’re keeping most of the activities free and the ones such as the bouncy castle, donkey rides and facepainting super cheap just to cover hire costs. We want as many people to enjoy it as possible. We’re also encouraging fitness and physical health so there’ll be an assault course and sporting activities for kids with prizes to be won!”
