The Bus Yard to take over Newsham Scream Park as four terrifying new attractions unveiled

Liverpool favourite The Bus Yard has been announced as the official courtyard partner for Newsham Scream Park, as the Halloween attraction reveals four brand-new horror experiences for 2026.

Newsham Scream Park returns to Liverpool from Friday, 9th October, with The Bus Yard set to transform the heart of the attraction into a lively food, drink and entertainment space throughout the Halloween season.

Known across Liverpool for its popular street food events, The Bus Yard will take over the entire courtyard, serving burgers, crispy chicken, loaded fries and churros alongside a fully stocked bar and live music.

The courtyard is designed to give visitors somewhere to relax, grab food and soak up the atmosphere before or after taking on the scare attractions, helping turn a trip to Newsham Scream Park into a full evening out.

The Bus Yard will bring some of its best-known dishes to the event, including salt and pepper chicken, chicken burgers, loaded fries and smash burgers, with churros also available for anyone looking for something sweet.

The courtyard takeover forms part of a major shake-up of Newsham Scream Park for 2026, with organisers also unveiling four completely original horror experiences.

SpecimenZ is a new blackout attraction that throws guests into the aftermath of a secret Cold War experiment, where catastrophic radiation testing has created mutated creatures hiding in complete darkness.

Waxworks takes visitors inside a forgotten Victorian museum filled with disturbingly lifelike exhibits, where the displays appear to be hiding a sinister secret.

Drawing inspiration from one of Liverpool’s most infamous urban legends, Cut Throat Lane is a sensory-deprived experience set among the dark streets of Victorian Liverpool, where Spring-Heeled Jack is waiting in the shadows.

Completing this year’s line-up is The Hellfire Club, an optional premium experience exclusively for over-18s, taking guests inside a mysterious secret society where temptation comes with terrifying consequences.

The four attractions will combine darkness, theatrical storytelling, psychological suspense and live actor interaction as Newsham Scream Park delivers its biggest Halloween programme to date.

Kevin Midgley, Director of Newsham Scream Park, explained:

“Every year we challenge ourselves to create something guests have never experienced before, but this year we’ve looked beyond the scare attractions too.

“The Bus Yard is one of Liverpool’s best-loved independent brands, so bringing them to Newsham Scream Park was the perfect fit. We wanted the courtyard to become part of the experience, somewhere people can arrive early, enjoy great food and drinks, soak up the atmosphere with live music and stay afterwards to relive everything they’ve just experienced.

“Alongside that, we’ve created four completely new horror experiences, each offering a different style of fear. Whether it’s navigating complete darkness, coming face-to-face with Victorian horrors or stepping inside one of our most intense experiences yet, we genuinely believe this is our biggest and best event to date.”

Andy Laird, Director of The Bus Yard, added:

“We’re thrilled to be joining Newsham Scream Park for 2026. It’s become one of Liverpool’s standout Halloween events, and we’re looking forward to bringing The Bus Yard experience to the courtyard with great street food and a fantastic atmosphere.”

Newsham Scream Park returns to Liverpool’s historic Newsham Park from Friday, 9th October.

Tickets are on sale now via the Newsham Scream Park website and Skiddle.
