Taskers is preparing to launch its Summer Sale following a strong start to the year for the Liverpool-based, family-run home and garden retailer.
After seeing high demand for its furniture, garden collections, motorised pergolas and outdoor living products, the company is promising significant savings across some of its most popular departments.
In this Q&A, Taskers discusses the products customers have been buying this summer, how its ranges are selected, the growing trend for gardens to become an extension of the home and what shoppers can expect from its upcoming autumn collections.

It’s been a busy 6 months for Taskers. What have been your business highlights so far?
It really has been a busy start to the year, but it’s also been incredibly rewarding. We’ve had a fantastic response to both our furniture and outdoor living ranges, and it’s been great to hear customers complimenting our stores and choosing Taskers when investing in their homes and gardens.
We’ve also spent a lot of time developing new product ranges and working closely with our suppliers to bring fresh ideas and even better value to our customers. Seeing both our store and online channels continue to perform strongly has definitely been a highlight,particularly when many businesses across the sector are facing challenging trading conditions.
Most importantly, it’s been wonderful to see customers enjoying our products and making the most of their homes and outdoor spaces.
What have been your top 5 selling products?
Our furniture department has performed exceptionally well, with our super-comfy sofas and beautifully styled dining furniture leading the way.
Our garden furniture collections have once again been a huge success this year, alongside our motorised pergolas, self-contained water features and outdoor cooking ranges, all of which have proven incredibly popular as customers look to create their own outdoorliving spaces at home.
With the recent heatwaves across the country, we’ve also seen huge demand for products that offer a little relief from the sun! We’re particularly proud that our parasols and pergolas have been praised by customers for their excellent value, practicality and, above all, the stylish finishing touch they bring to any garden.

I believe you’re about to announce a big sale. Can you tell us more?
Yes, we’re really excited about this one, especially after seeing some of the deals that will be available.
Our Summer Sale will feature some huge savings across the store. Customers can expect fantastic offers on furniture, garden furniture, lighting, flooring, rugs, wallpaper, wall art and home fragrances. Some of our very best-selling lines will be included too.
Whether you’re looking to refresh your garden, update a room or simply treat yourself to something new, there will be plenty of opportunities to grab a bargain.
Your garden furniture is absolutely gorgeous. How do you pick the pieces you stock?

A huge amount of thought goes into selecting our ranges. We regularly travel to industry exhibitions, meet suppliers from around the world and keep a close eye on emerging design trends.
While we take inspiration from what’s happening globally, we’re firmly focused on what our customers want. Sometimes a product might look fantastic at a trade show, but if we don’t believe it’s right for our customers, it simply won’t make the cut.
We’re not prepared to compromise on quality or accept a product that falls short of our standards. In many cases, we’ll actually work with suppliers to develop products ourselves, ensuring they meet exactly what we’re looking for.
It isn’t always easy, but it’s non-negotiable. We insist on the right balance of style, comfort, quality and value. Listening to our customers is often the best trend forecasting tool we have.

Do you have any new products coming out for Autumn?
We do.
As we move towards Autumn, our focus naturally shifts towards indoor living, with exciting new furniture, flooring and home décor collections arriving in store.
We’ll also be introducing some fantastic seasonal ranges designed to help customers create warm, welcoming spaces as the cosy nights begin to draw in. As much as we all love summer, there’s something special about getting your home ready for autumn evenings, with Christmas just around the corner.
What’s the biggest trend you’re seeing from customers this year?
We’re seeing more customers looking for products that help them get the most from the space around their homes, both inside and out.
People are increasingly drawn to stylish, high-quality products that elevate a space whilst offering long-term value. Outdoor living continues to be hugely important, but we’re also seeing a growing trend towards creating seamless spaces that blur the lines between indoors and outdoors.
Customers want their gardens to feel like a true extension of their home rather than a completely separate space.
What makes Taskers different?
We’re a family-run business that’s been serving customers in Liverpool and beyond for generations, and we genuinely care about offering something different.
We focus on sourcing unique products, delivering excellent value and providing the kind of personal service that keeps customers coming back. We want people to enjoy shopping with us, discover something they weren’t expecting to find and leave feeling inspired about their home and garden.

We’re also fortunate to have fantastic teams throughout the business with years of product knowledge and a genuine passion for helping customers find the right solution. Many of our customers have been shopping with us for years, and we never take that loyalty for granted.
In fact, it’s not unusual to meet customers whose parents and grandparents shopped with us too, which is something we’re incredibly proud of.
How important is it to offer customers something new and exciting?
It’s incredibly important.
Our buying team is always on the lookout for new ideas, products and trends that will inspire our customers. We work throughout the year with suppliers across the UK, Europe and Asia to identify exciting opportunities and bring fresh products into our stores.
We want every visit to Taskers to feel a little different, with customers discovering something new every time they walk through the door.
We don’t want to be the biggest home store in the world. We simply want to be the best at what we do. And if customers leave with a smile, a little inspiration and perhaps something they didn’t know they needed, then we’ve done our job.
