Stock Ghyll Force is a short and sweet waterfall walk, the 60ft waterfall is located in the Lake District town from the heart of Ambleside.
If you ever find yourselves in the Lakes then I can’t recommend this enough.
Pictures and videos don’t do it justice, it’s one of, if not the, best waterfalls I’ve seen.
Only a short walk but a lot to see. Circular trail so easy to follow. Very muddy to boots/weeklies recommended.

Drive: Between 1hr 40 – 1hr 50 from Liverpool

Walk Distance: 1-2 miles
Time: 1 hour
Cost: Free
Parking: You can park on Stockghyll Lane free for an hour (you have to go to one of the shops and get a parking disk, we just went Tesco). Spaces are limited but if you carry on the main road, you’ll eventually come to a pay & display further down the road.
Dogs/Kids: Both. No pram/wheelchair access
