Steven Gerrard to Headline LFC Foundation Gala Ball at Liverpool Cathedral

Former LFC captain Steven Gerrard will take centre stage as the headline guest speaker at this year’s LFC Foundation Gala Ball.

The iconic former Reds captain will join the club’s official charity, LFC Foundation, for the prestigious event on Thursday 21 May at Liverpool Anglican Cathedral. The evening will be hosted by LFCTV presenter and stadium announcer Peter McDowall.

A highlight of the club’s social calendar, the black-tie gala will bring together supporters, partners and former players for a night of entertainment and fundraising. Guests can expect a red carpet welcome, a three-course dinner, and the chance to bid in an exclusive auction featuring unique prizes and experiences.

Tickets are now available, offering fans the opportunity to join Gerrard and a number of special guests, with further names set to be announced in the coming weeks.

The event, sponsored by Carpenters Group, will raise vital funds to support the Foundation’s work across the Liverpool City Region and beyond. Its programmes focus on improving health, promoting education and creating employment opportunities in communities that need it most.

Speaking ahead of the evening, Gerrard said he was proud to be involved: “I’m really looking forward to being part of the LFC Foundation Gala Ball this year. The work they do across the community is incredibly important and something that has always meant a lot to me. It’s going to be a special night and a great opportunity to raise vital funds.”

Last season alone, LFC Foundation supported more than 145,000 people, with over half coming from the most deprived areas of the country. Through its Red Neighbours initiative, the charity also provided over £500,000 worth of support, including food hampers, stadium tours and matchday experiences, while helping deliver around 1,000 free meals each week to local communities.

Matt Parish, chief executive of LFC Foundation, added:

“We’re delighted to welcome Steven as our guest speaker for this year’s Gala Ball. He has always shown a genuine passion for supporting the Foundation and understands the impact the work can have.

“The Gala Ball is one of our biggest fundraising events of the year and plays a vital role in allowing us to continue to expand our programmes and impact. With Steven joining us and more special guests yet to be announced, we’re looking forward to a memorable evening that makes a real difference.”
