The 2026 Southport Comedy Festival, in association with Halliwell Jones Kia Southport, has announced its final major headline act for this year’s 17-day festival programme.
Festival favourite, Jimeoin, the Irishman from Australia, will return to the festival on Tuesday, 6th October 2026 with his brand-new show, ‘Ballyhoo!’
Widely regarded as one of the world’s finest live stand-up comedians, Jimeoin’s cheeky observational humour, brilliantly crafted material and effortless charm have made him a global comedy favourite.
From viral online clips viewed by millions to standout appearances on Live at the Apollo or The Royal Variety Performance, Jimeoin remains one of comedy’s most in-demand performers.
Jimeoin Completes Landmark 15th Anniversary Celebrity Lineup
The final headliner completes an extensive roster of national touring comedians booked to celebrate a decade and a half of the Merseyside event.
Jimeoin joins an already stellar line-up for the festival’s landmark 15th anniversary celebrations, including Jason Manford, Jason Byrne, Clinton Baptiste, Henning Wehn, Gary Delaney, Mike Wozniak, Scott Bennett, Laura Smyth, Seann Walsh, Paul Merton, Suki Webster, and Adam Kay.
The complete billing brings together mainstream television personalities, character comedians, and celebrated authors for the autumn schedule.
The Festival runs from 2nd to 18th October 2026, returning for the sixth consecutive year to its luxury, fully seated and heated Elite Events marquee in the scenic surroundings of Victoria Park, home of the world-famous Southport Flower Show.
This bespoke infrastructure ensures that spectators can experience major international talent in a comfortable environment despite unpredictable autumn weather conditions.

The final slot on the performance calendar comes with specific age restrictions of 16+ and a ticketing release window.
Tickets for Jimeoin’s ‘Ballyhoo!’ go on sale at 10 am on Friday, 29th May 2026.

Doors for the performance will open at 7 pm, with the main show commencing at 8 pm.
Admission is strictly limited to individuals aged 16 and over, with entry passes priced at £20.50 plus a standard booking fee.
