Sefton Park Hotel has announced the impending launch of its newly refurbished dining destination, Sefton Park Bistro and Bar, which will open its doors on 15 May.
This marks the next phase of a £250,000 investment by The Sefton Collection into the historic Victorian property.
Located opposite one of Liverpool’s most iconic green spaces, the venue offers an inviting setting for guests and visitors to enjoy the park’s scenic surroundings.
The new bistro and bar introduces a contemporary gastro-style menu, combining classic British favourites with modern bistro dishes.
This opening is part of a programme of extensive phased upgrades across the hotel, including a full redesign of all 16 guest bedrooms and enhancements to its leisure and event facilities.
A new, elegant draped marquee has also been added, providing space for up to 200 guests and positioning the venue as a standout choice for weddings and celebrations.
Historic Charm Meets Contemporary Dining

Set within a beautifully restored heritage villa, Sefton Park Bistro and Bar offers a warm, informal atmosphere designed to appeal to both hotel guests and the local community.
The space blends historic charm with modern comfort, creating a relaxed lounge-style environment ideal for post-park refreshments or social gatherings.
The bistro will operate from Wednesday to Sunday, while the bar remains open seven days a week for residents and non-residents alike.

The hotel also boasts a stunning outside terrace perfect for alfresco drinks and dining.
With seating for 100 guests, seasonal planting, and all-weather umbrellas, the terrace provides exquisite views over Sefton Park, making it a premier spot to relax and unwind.
Home Cooked Favourites and Sunday Roasts

The menu features a selection of well-loved dishes, including traditional fish and chips and premium beef burgers, alongside more refined options such as pan-fried seabass and chicken supreme.
Guests can also enjoy a traditional vintage afternoon tea, as well as the hotel’s hugely popular home-cooked Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.
Megan Hanson, General Manager, said:
“Sefton Park Hotel has a unique heritage, once home to Beatle Stuart Sutcliffe, and its setting opposite the park makes it a special place to spend time.
“With the launch of our new Sefton Park Bistro and Bar, we’re bringing a relaxed, high-quality dining experience that combines home-cooked favourites with a stylish, welcoming atmosphere.”
The launch reflects the hotel’s ongoing commitment to enhancing the guest experience while preserving the character of this iconic Victorian property.
