A second free NFT Meet Up is heading to Liverpool this March, taking place at Bold Street’s Ropes & Twines.
A first of its kind in the city, the meet up is giving local artists a chance to showcase their work and meet fellow like-minded creatives and those interested in the space to discuss all things NFTs, the blockchain, and minting; buying art in the new digital space.
Organised by Andrai Jones from NFT Public Relations, an avid NFT collector who is incredibly active in the online community, this second meet up will give local artists a platform to present to those attending.
Last month saw the casual NFT meet up sell out to 65 people who turned out to discuss all things art, NFTs and Web3 in the heart of Liverpool’s creative Ropewalks area.
An opportunity to meet a like-minded, forward-thinking community of collectors and artists, this meet-up is open to all; those who are interested in the space, are actively involved, artists and NFT creators.
Community is an integral part of NFTs and the art world, making this NFT meet up an exciting opportunity to meet in a relaxed environment and discuss this fast-paced, exciting new chapter which some of the world’s biggest businesses are integrating into their operations.
Andrai explained:
“NFT stands for Non-Fungible Token and is a non-interchangeable unit of data stored on the blockchain (a form of digital ledger) that can be sold and traded. Some of the most notable types of NFTs currently are art, collectibles, event tickets and music. NFTs are quickly becoming widely known after the success of Bored Ape Yacht Club and their community. Worldwide companies, athletes and the music industry are all getting on board to release NFT collections or integrate this digital art world into their businesses.
“Community is at the heart of the NFT space and I’m keen to bring together like-minded people and those curious about art and NFTs or those who are artists themselves and releasing collections. Our first meet up at Ropes & Twines was really successful and completely sold out and I’m looking forward to welcoming familiar faces as well as newcomers on Tuesday 29th March to discuss all things NFTs.”
