Royal Albert Dock Liverpool is inviting young people to get active this summer with the launch of its new Summer Pass, offering more than 600 free sports sessions during the school holidays.
Running on weekdays from 17 to 28 August, the programme is aimed at 12 to 16-year-olds and features 636 one-hour sessions across a range of activities both on and around the waterfront.

Young people can take to the dock’s historic waters with paddleboarding, supersized paddleboarding and kayaking sessions, while a multi-skills sports zone at Dukes Dock on Gower Street will offer penalty practice, three-a-side football, cornhole and target practice.
The Summer Pass has been created to give young people free opportunities to stay active during the holidays, try something new, build confidence and spend time with friends.
With hundreds of sessions taking place across the two-week programme, families can book multiple activities to help fill their summer schedules.
Sessions are suitable for both beginners and those with previous experience, with places available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Activities can be booked through Eventbrite here.
Alongside the free activities, families can make a day of their visit by exploring Royal Albert Dock Liverpool’s cafés, restaurants and attractions.
Parents and guardians waiting for young people taking part can enjoy coffee at venues including Rubens, Peaberry Coffee House and Kitchen and Francie’s Focaccia & Coffee.

There are also a number of dockside dining offers available for families looking to enjoy lunch before or after a session.
Rosa’s Thai is offering three dishes and a drink for £15, while The Botanist has a lighter version of its famous kebabs available for £8.95. At Lunyalita, diners can choose three tapas dishes for £17.
Sean Morrison, Estate Manager at Royal Albert Dock Liverpool, said:
“The summer holidays are a great time for young people to get outdoors and try something new. With activities taking place both on the water and on land, we’re making the most of everything the dock has to offer while providing free, accessible opportunities for young people to stay active, build confidence and enjoy their summer.”
Whether it is trying paddleboarding for the first time, taking part in a football session or simply enjoying time together on the waterfront, the Summer Pass gives families another way to experience Royal Albert Dock during the summer holidays.
