Feel like a movie star and take part in a cinematic adventure around the streets of Liverpool with the fantastic Reel Tours!
Liverpool has become a familiar sight on screens around the world, with its historic streets, grand buildings and distinctive architecture providing the backdrop for major films and television productions.
Reel Tours Liverpool gives film fans the chance to discover some of the locations and stories behind the city’s long relationship with the big screen on a guided walking tour through Liverpool city centre.

Discover Liverpool’s film history
Liverpool’s connection with cinema stretches back to the final years of the 19th century, and the city has continued to welcome productions ranging from period dramas to major Hollywood blockbusters.
Reel Tours takes visitors beyond simply seeing the locations, sharing the stories of how Liverpool has been transformed for the screen and highlighting some of the city’s most recognisable filming spots.
Along the way, guests can discover popular locations alongside some lesser-known places they may have walked past countless times without realising their connection to film and television.

A Liverpool film tour with Gary Lunt
The walking tours are led by cinema lover Gary Lunt, who combines his knowledge of Liverpool with his passion for film to bring the city’s screen history to life.
Rather than simply pointing out buildings used during filming, the tour explores stories from behind the camera and the different ways Liverpool has been represented on screen over generations.
For film fans, it’s an opportunity to look at familiar Liverpool streets from a completely different perspective and discover why the city continues to attract filmmakers from around the world.
