A star-studded night of entertainment is coming to one of Southport’s most iconic venues this summer as the community rallies to protect a vital local service facing a critical financial crisis.
Ray Quinn has signed up to headline A Grand Night Out for Queenscourt Hospice at The Grand on Lord Street.
The X Factor star will be joined by a glittering array of celebrity guests, local musicians, and DJs for a packed night of entertainment across all three floors of the venue on Friday 24 July 2026.
The event, hosted by Mikhail Hotel And Leisure Group, comes at a pivotal moment for the hospice.
Earlier this month, Queenscourt announced the devastating news that it may be forced to close within 18 months unless it can bridge a £2 million deficit.
The hospice has already been forced to reduce its in-patient ward from ten beds to five as it battles rising costs and funding shortfalls.
A Community United for Care

The evening will be hosted by local favourites Claire Simmo, Kelly Bond, and DJ Baz Todd.
Headliner Ray Quinn, who rose to fame as the runner-up on X Factor and starred in Brookside, will be supported by a variety of performers, including Anthony Russell, Britain’s Got Talent star Andrew Curphey, and Opportunity Knocks winner Bernie Flint.
Mikhail Hotel And Leisure Group Chairman, Andrew Mikhail, said:
“We’re delighted to be able to announce Ray Quinn as our headline act for our very special night at The Grand to support Queenscourt Hospice.
“Like everyone in our community, we’re devastated to see the financial challenges that our local hospice is facing.
“They play such a vital role in the lives of so many families and we need them to be able to continue offering their compassionate care across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire.
“It’s time for all of us to come together and do all we can to support Queenscourt when they need us.”
Supporting 35 Years of Compassion

Since opening its doors 35 years ago, Queenscourt Hospice has provided end-of-life care and support for over 70,000 local families.
The funds raised from the £25 tickets will go directly toward the Keep Queenscourt In Service campaign, helping to stabilise a charity that serves the communities of Southport, Formby, and West Lancashire.
Queenscourt Hospice Fundraising Manager, Liz Hartley, added:
“We’re really looking forward to this grand fundraising night for Queenscourt Hospice. It promises to be a fantastic event across all three floors of The Grand in Southport.
“We’d love to see lots of people coming to enjoy an entertainment-packed evening, while helping us to raise funds to Keep Queenscourt In Service.
“We’re very grateful to Andrew Mikhail and Mikhail Hotel And Leisure Group for their huge support.”
Tickets are now on sale for the event, which starts at 7pm.
Guests are encouraged to dress to impress for a night that promises non-stop energy and a shared purpose of preserving a cornerstone of local healthcare.
