Liverpool’s beloved interactive attraction, Quirky Quarter, is officially celebrating its five-year milestone by unveiling a series of new immersive additions, refreshed artistic spaces, and expanded event capabilities.
Since opening its doors in early 2020, the venue has remained dedicated to its core mission: creating a world where visitors can play, explore, and refuse to take life too seriously.
“Quirky Quarter has always been about creating something different, somewhere people can step out of the ordinary, have fun and see things from a new perspective,” said Peter Davis, General Manager at Quirky Quarter.
“Five years on, we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built.
“We’ve continued to invest, evolve and work with local creatives to keep the experience fresh.
“Liverpool has been at the heart of that journey, and we’re excited to keep growing and surprising people.”
Founded by a group of friends led by Merseyside-born David Hartshorn, the concept was built on the simple desire to create a space where adults can rediscover the joy of play.
Despite launching just weeks before the global lockdowns of 2020, the team adapted and continued to invest in the city that David always felt was the only natural home for such a creative venture.
Today, the attraction spans over 12,000 square feet and has evolved into a living, breathing space that attracts guests of all ages.
New Immersive Tech and Local Art Installations

The centre of the fifth-anniversary updates is a brand-new immersive mirrored room, designed and constructed entirely in-house.
This installation features mirrored walls and ceilings integrated with ever-changing digital projections, creating a visually striking environment unlike anything else currently in the venue.
The layout of the entire attraction has also been refreshed to improve the visitor flow and elevate the sensory journey through the various exhibits.
In a nod to the city’s creative spirit, the latest updates include new illusion-based artworks created by local artists, complemented by upgraded lighting and enhanced visual effects.
These regular updates to installations and window displays ensure that there is always something new to discover, particularly during major city events.
This commitment to quality has earned Quirky Quarter the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award 2025, placing it in the top 10% of attractions worldwide with a stellar 4.9 rating.
Expanded Event Spaces for Corporate and Private Hire

Beyond the individual visitor experience, Quirky Quarter has significantly bolstered its capacity for hosting large-scale gatherings.
The venue now features a dedicated conference and event area, along with a new signature room capable of hosting 50 seated or 80 standing guests.
These additions transform the site into a versatile hub for corporate activations, creative showcases, and private parties.
With a full bar, lounge area, and flexible immersive surroundings, the venue offers a stark alternative to traditional function rooms.
Whether it is a wedding or a brand launch, the expanded 12,000-square-foot footprint allows for a seamless blend of professional hosting and high-energy interactive fun.
As it enters its next half-decade, Quirky Quarter continues to stand as a testament to Liverpool’s energy and the enduring appeal of the unconventional.
