Liverpool’s landmark summer concert series On the Waterfront is back for its fifth edition in 2026, and it’s shaping up to be its biggest yet.
A stellar line-up of headliners has just been unveiled, with Paul Weller, Red Rum Club, and a 10 Years of Cream Classical celebration joining the previously announced Snow Patrol for a four-day musical takeover of the city’s iconic Pier Head from Thursday 18 to Sunday 21 June 2026.

Set against the breathtaking backdrop of the River Mersey and the Three Graces, On the Waterfront has become a standout fixture in the UK’s live music calendar, blending global icons, homegrown heroes and Liverpool’s unmistakable energy for one unforgettable weekend.
Thursday 18 June will see the legendary Paul Weller open the festival in style. One of Britain’s most influential songwriters, Weller’s incredible career, spanning The Jam, The Style Council and his acclaimed solo work, promises a night packed with classic hits and pure live magic.

On Friday 19 June, local favourites Red Rum Club will take to the stage for their biggest outdoor show to date. The Liverpool sextet have become one of the UK’s most electrifying live acts, known for their bold, brass-fuelled “Mariachi Merseybeat” sound and infectious, feel-good energy.
The weekend continues with a spectacular 10th Anniversary of Cream Classical on Saturday, 20 June, a show that has transformed how dance music can be experienced. Fusing the euphoric sounds of Cream’s clubbing legacy with the power of a full orchestra, this milestone performance will be a once-in-a-decade celebration of Liverpool’s world-famous dance culture.

Bringing the festival to a close on Sunday 21 June, Snow Patrol will headline the final night, their first Liverpool appearance in 12 years. The Northern Irish rock giants will be joined by Circa Waves and Sunday (1994), with tickets already on track for a sell-out finale.
With its unbeatable waterfront setting, world-class artists and unrivalled atmosphere, On the Waterfront 2026 promises to be one of the most anticipated weekends of the year, a true celebration of Liverpool’s musical heartbeat.
