New Irish-inspired pub McNasty’s brings music, sport and rooftop vibes to Seel Street

McNasty’s, a new Irish-inspired pub, has opened its doors on Liverpool’s vibrant Seel Street, bringing a fresh take on traditional pub culture to the heart of the city.

Rooted in the spirit of classic Irish pubs, McNasty’s places live music, sport and a warm, welcoming atmosphere at the centre of the experience. The venue also builds on the building’s long-standing musical heritage, creating a new platform for grassroots musicians and local talent in a location where live performance has long been part of the city’s nightlife.

The downstairs space hosts singers and acoustic solo performers seven nights a week, offering visitors a lively soundtrack every evening. Upstairs, a second floor is set to provide a larger performance space better suited to bands and group acts, with plans currently in development. The upper floor also doubles as a dedicated sports viewing area, showing Liverpool and Everton matches alongside other major fixtures from across the sporting calendar.

One of the venue’s standout features is its rooftop beer garden. Bathed in sunshine during the spring and summer months, the space is fully covered and heated during colder weather, making it a true all-weather destination and a strong contender for one of Liverpool’s best rooftop spots.

Seel Street has long been at the centre of Liverpool’s nightlife and is increasingly becoming known as something of an “Irish Quarter”, with several well-established Irish venues nearby. McNasty’s is proud to join this growing community, bringing its own take on the Irish pub experience with great drinks, live entertainment and a friendly, laid-back atmosphere.

Looking ahead, McNasty’s will also be screening major sporting events, including the remaining Six Nations fixtures, Premier League matches and the Grand National in April.
