Cyclists can say ‘bonjour’ to a brand-new Cycle Hub at Liverpool ONE as the city prepares to welcome the Tour de France in 2027.
The new Cycle Hub, located on Thomas Steers Way next to the Sugar House Steps, has been officially unveiled and provides secure storage for up to 50 bicycles.
Available to members, the facility is designed for use by residents, Liverpool ONE staff and visitors travelling into the city centre by bike.
Its opening comes as excitement builds ahead of Liverpool hosting the world’s biggest annual sporting event next summer.
The Tour de France Trophy Roadshow has also arrived at Liverpool ONE, giving visitors the opportunity to see the famous trophy up close on Paradise Street ahead of the race coming to the city.
Liverpool will host the finish of stage two of the men’s Tour de France Grand Départ on Saturday, 3 July 2027.
The Tour de France attracts around 12 million spectators along its route each year and is broadcast in more than 180 countries, with an estimated television audience of 150 million across Europe alone.
The arrival of the Cycle Hub adds to preparations across Liverpool for the historic sporting occasion and provides cyclists with a new secure facility in the heart of the city centre.
