A new social wellness destination, Attis Bathing Club, is set to open in Liverpool this August, introducing a community-minded approach to social wellbeing in the heart of the city.
Located on David Lewis Street within The Prestige building, Attis Bathing Club is designed as a premium alternative to the traditional night out, providing a social space for people to connect.
The facility will be equipped with a 30-capacity Finnish sauna, filtered ice baths, and dedicated red-light therapy.
Attis is the brainchild of Liverpool couple Jennifer Gledhill and Lewis Boardman. Jennifer, who spent seven years living in Sydney, was inspired by the seamless integration of wellness into everyday social life in Australia.
Upon returning to the UK, she identified a gap for a high-end, inclusive space which prioritises social wellbeing.
Jennifer said:
“We’re so excited to bring this unique experience to our hometown.
“As people place more value on real connection and wellbeing, we’re proud to make guided contrast therapy classes and traditional Aufguss part of everyday life.”
Specialist Guided Contrast Therapy

The club will specialise in Guided Contrast Therapy, a practice which involves alternating between extreme hot and cold environments to boost metabolism, circulation, and mental clarity.
Attis will offer one-hour bookable sessions led by trained experts, with classes ranging from breath-work and sound baths to dopamine and sleep resets.
Additionally, Attis will offer traditional Aufguss, which is a multi-sensory ritual where sauna masters use aromatic steam and choreographed towel movements to create an immersive, meditative heat experience.
The wellness space will also include a lounge-style cafe for socialising in between hot and cold cycles, serving healthy beverages and nourishing snacks alongside full shower and changing facilities.
Community Events and Launch Details

On weekends, visitors can experience ‘Club Attis’ sessions, which will feature DJs and community events, with further information to follow.
The club aims to foster a sense of belonging and provide a space where wellness and socialising go hand in hand.
Attis will be open seven days a week from 7 am to 8 pm.
The public can currently sign up for early access to the launch via the official website here.
This new addition to Liverpool’s wellness scene offers a dedicated space where everyone can switch off, recharge, and connect with others in a supportive environment.
