TripAdvisor’s Global ‘Best of The Best’ 2024 awards have honoured the iconic Liverpool Beatles sightseeing ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ with a prestigious ranking.

Cavern City Tours, the owners of the legendary Cavern Club, has recognized the celebrated tour as the 8th best cultural and historical experience in the world and the 3rd greatest in the UK.

Based on the quality and the number of visitors, reviews and ratings, the two-hour sightseeing tour, which has been running for more than forty years, was given this accolade. Reserved for the top 1% of listings on TripAdvisor, TripAdvisor’s Choice Best of the Best award is the highest honour available. As rated and reviewed by travellers worldwide, it highlights the very best hotels, sites, beaches, restaurants, and activities.

The Magical Mystery Tour ranks above famous sites including the Pyramids of Egypt, the Vatican, and the Louvre Museum in Paris and joins an amazing list of globally known attractions including the Amsterdam Canal Cruise.

Bill Heckle, Director of Cavern City Tours, expressed his delight at the recognition:

“We are thrilled and honoured to be recognised in TripAdvisor’s ‘Best of The Best’ awards. This achievement is a testament to the dedication and passion of our whole team at Magical Mystery Tour and The Cavern venues, who strive to deliver an unforgettable experience to Beatles fans and visitors from around the globe. We are proud to continue celebrating the legacy of The Beatles and Liverpool’s rich musical heritage.”

Featuring famous sites including Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, and the childhood homes of John, Paul, George and Ringo, the Magical Mystery Tour presents fans an immersive trip through the Beatles’ Liverpool and finishes with live music in the world-class Cavern Club, where the Beatles performed 292 times in their early career. The tour offers an unmatched experience that brings to life the magic and history of the most well-known band worldwide thanks to its rich storytelling and knowledgeable guides.

Bill Heckle adds:

“I went into the business of Beatles tourism over forty years ago because I am a huge Beatles fan and I know how much an experience like our Magical Mystery Tour means to the 70,000 passengers who join us annually. It’s really wonderful to see that four decades of passion continues with every member of our team. On behalf of the whole team, I’d like to express our thanks to all the customers who took the time to review us on TripAdvisor’s platform.”
