Liverpool-based law firm Astraea Linskills is celebrating its 10th anniversary this October, marking a decade of growth that has seen the independent practice expand its operations from Liverpool to London and Dubai.
Founded in 2016 by Liverpool solicitor Nama Zarroug as Astraea Legal, the award-winning firm has grown into a team of 30, combining specialist legal expertise with almost five decades of legal heritage.
Headquartered on Castle Street in Liverpool’s commercial district, Astraea Linskills has expanded its services and established a reputation for handling complex legal matters for individuals, families and businesses.
A major milestone in the firm’s development came in 2020 when Astraea Legal acquired Linskills, an established Liverpool criminal law practice with roots dating back to 1978.
The acquisition brought together Astraea’s modern approach with Linskills’ longstanding experience, creating a strong foundation for further growth.
Under the leadership of founding director Nama Zarroug and director Sara Perischine, the firm now provides specialist services across family and matrimonial law, criminal defence, regulatory matters, wills and probate, commercial property, media and reputation management, and electoral law.
Its electoral law practice has received national recognition from The Legal 500, while the firm was also named Law Firm of the Year at the Liverpool Law Society Legal Awards in 2022.
That same year, continued expansion led to a move into larger headquarters on Castle Street, with operations in London and Dubai further strengthening its national and international presence.
Reflecting on the milestone, founding director Nama Zarroug said:

As Astraea Linskills enters its second decade, the firm is planning further investment in its people, continued development of its specialist practice areas and expansion of its client base across the UK and internationally.
