LFC Foundation has opened the latest round of applications for its Red Neighbours Community Fund, offering support to organisations making a difference in communities around Anfield.
Applications are open until 2 October 2026, with local charities, community groups and not-for-profit organisations in the L4, L5 and L6 postcode areas invited to apply for funding.
Created by LFC Foundation with support from Liverpool Football Club, the fund was launched in 2020 to help local organisations develop projects and initiatives capable of creating a lasting impact in Anfield and surrounding neighbourhoods.
The scheme follows a commitment from Liverpool FC to make a donation to the community grant fund whenever a concert or major non-football event is staged at Anfield, ensuring money generated through major events is reinvested directly into the local area.
Grants are prioritised for charities and not-for-profit community organisations delivering activities aligned with LFC Foundation’s three main areas of focus – health, learning and employment.
So far, 20 organisations have shared £140,000 in funding through the scheme.
Among those to benefit is Liverpool Community Radio, where funding has helped support 19 years of community broadcasting while expanding monthly training events.
The sessions give local people hands-on experience in radio production and presenting, with some participants going on to continue working with the station.
Funding has also supported organisations tackling food insecurity, including Christ Church PPC, which serves one of the 10 most deprived parishes in England.
Community Basket CIC is using its grant to help families experiencing food poverty by providing affordable essentials through its community-run food shop in Anfield.
Vauxhall Law and Community Information Centre has also received support, allowing it to provide free legal advice and advocacy to people facing debt, housing and welfare challenges.

LFC Foundation is now inviting more organisations working across the L4, L5 and L6 areas to apply for funding towards new projects that can deliver a lasting benefit for local communities.
Applications can be submitted through the LFC Foundation’s online application form.
The four-week application window closes on 2 October 2026.
