Liverpool’s new esports venue, leveltap is holding a Champions League FIFA gaming prize event to coincide with the final of Europe’s premier club tournament between Manchester City and Inter Milan this Saturday.
Welcoming all comers, players will test their ability head-to-head to battle their way to the final using selections from team squads in this season’s Champions League competition.
The final match will be broadcast on leveltap’s big screen, while more matches could receive the same distinction depending on the number of entrants.
Leveltap on Hanover Street in Liverpool ONE opened last month boasting ten console stations, each containing a Nintendo Switch and either a PS5 or an Xbox Series X, along with two racing simulators and 20 PCs. It also serves a range of specially created gaming-themed cocktails, boozy shakes, seltzers and draught and bottled beer, wine and soft drinks, as well as pizza slices, sides, snacks and sundaes.
Callum Wilson, co-founder, said:
“Part of our thinking when creating leveltap was also about moments when esports and sport collide. We are big football fans and FIFA gaming enthusiasts and even though our own favourite teams are not involved, the Champions League final is a highlight in the world football calendar.
“What better way to enjoy this massive game than by hosting our own fun FIFA tournament with prizes and by broadcasting participants’ skills throughout the venue, after which players and spectators can sit back, watch all the action from Istanbul over drinks and pizza.”

“leveltap will be broadcasting next season’s Premier League matches, other big sporting events like world championship boxing and UFC, as well as hosting our own esports events.
“We have already successfully trialled a Street Fighter event and more tournaments and streaming of big world esports and gaming events are in the pipeline as early as this month.”
