Experience the fun you can have outdoors by joining the free half-term activities in Knowsley parks across the borough.
In celebration of National Children’s Gardening Week, which falls during May half term, Knowsley’s Green Space Rangers have organised a range of garden-themed activities and events in parks and green spaces.
From making bug hotels, creating seed planters, joining mini-beast and bug hunts to nature trails, litter picks and nature-based crafts, there are lots of opportunities for residents to explore the outdoors and get closer to nature.
All of the regular timetable of health walks, Nordic walking and volunteering are still taking place and accessible to the whole family during the holidays too.
All events are free to attend and only require booking where stated. Every effort is made to ensure activities are SEND-friendly, though some sessions do get busy and are held in public spaces.
The latest children’s activity pack for the May half term is now also available to download from the Trans Pennine Trail website, containing fun activities that include rainbow bingo, making a bird feeder, flower identification, a DIY seed helicopter, and so much more!
