Liverpool’s Night of Soul is coming to the M&S Bank Arena in March 2027, bringing together some of the UK’s best-loved soul artists for a special evening of live music in support of charity.
Taking place at The Auditorium at M&S Bank Arena on Saturday 27 March 2027, the one-night-only concert will feature Heather Small, The Christians, Jaki Graham and The George Michael Singers.

Organised by Smooth Radio and M&S Bank Arena, the event will be hosted by Smooth Radio presenter Darren Parks, best known for presenting The Smooth Sanctuary.
The concert will celebrate decades of British soul and pop music, with performances from artists behind some of the country’s most recognisable hits.
Heather Small will headline Liverpool’s Night of Soul, bringing her unmistakable voice to the stage. Best known as the lead singer of M People, she helped define the sound of a generation with a string of hits before enjoying solo success with songs including Proud.
Joining her will be Liverpool’s own The Christians, one of the city’s most successful musical exports, whose distinctive blend of soul and pop has earned them a loyal following over several decades.
Acclaimed soul and R&B singer Jaki Graham will also perform, bringing her celebrated vocals and catalogue of hits to the Liverpool audience.
Completing the line-up are The George Michael Singers, a vocal collective featuring original backing singers who performed and recorded alongside the late music legend throughout his career.
The concert will also raise money for Global’s Make Some Noise, the official charity of Smooth Radio, which supports small charities helping people facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
Jamie Griffiths, CommunicorpUK’s Smooth Brand Content Director, said:
“Soul music has a unique ability to bring people together, so to have these incredible artists sharing the stage in Liverpool is something special. We’re looking forward to a fantastic evening of unforgettable songs, great memories and raising money for an important cause.”
Every ticket sold will help support Global’s Make Some Noise, which funds life-changing projects delivered by small, local charities across the UK.
The charity supports people experiencing mental health challenges, domestic abuse, bereavement, poverty and life-limiting illness, helping organisations provide essential services to those who need them most.
With an impressive line-up of established performers and a charitable cause at its heart, Liverpool’s Night of Soul promises an uplifting evening of live music at one of the city’s leading entertainment venues.
