Kebab lovers in Liverpool can grab 50% off main dishes at German Doner Kebab (GDK) restaurants as part of the brand’s World Kebab Week celebrations.

Running throughout the promotional week, the limited-time offer gives customers half-price mains, making it the perfect excuse to enjoy one of GDK’s signature kebabs, burgers or boxes for less.

The deal comes as new research revealed Liverpool has been named one of the UK’s top five kebab cities, with the city joining London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow as one of the nation’s biggest lovers of the popular street food.

To mark World Kebab Day, German Doner Kebab surveyed 2,000 people across the UK and found Liverpool ranked among the country’s favourite places for a kebab.

The research also highlighted changing attitudes towards the much-loved meal, particularly among younger diners.

Nearly half of Gen Z (47%) said they enjoy eating kebabs completely sober, while more than two in five said they would choose a doner kebab for lunch over a traditional supermarket meal deal.

The survey also found that almost four in 10 young people believe the kebab has had a “glow-up” in recent years, with one in three even saying they’d happily go on a kebab date.
