Gandeys Circus is back for 2022, bringing an international cast of over 30 artistes to Aintree Racecourse this March.

coming back to Liverpool even bigger and more spectacular, guaranteeing thrills, excitement and laughter for the entire family, as visitors are elevated to new heights of world class live entertainment.

Gandeys Circus is back for 2022 even bigger, even more spectacular!

The origins of Gandeys Circus can be traced back to the 1890s. Bob Gandey had already been performing as a circus artiste when he met his soon-to-be wife Rose in 1911.

They were married in 1912 and had a baby, Phillip (known as Joe) in the 1920s, when the show became known Gandeys Comedy Circus.

This soon began touring theatres across the UK as well as visiting outdoor events and fairgrounds. During the war the circus continued to perform, under canvas in a single mast tent using a tree trunk as a king pole! Gandeys Comedy Circus eventually made its home along the A50 in Arclid, Cheshire, and the name was returned to just ‘Gandeys Circus’.
