Footy Nation, the UK’s first football skills park, has officially opened at Ocean Plaza Leisure Complex in Southport.
The new indoor attraction promises an immersive football-themed experience for families, groups and fans of all ages, combining interactive games with a lively social setting.
At the heart of Footy Nation is a series of high-tech football challenges designed to test players’ skill, accuracy and speed. Visitors can go head-to-head across a range of games, earning points by hitting moving targets, showing off their dribbling ability and completing fast-paced shooting challenges.
Among the featured games is Match Ball, where players get three attempts to guide the ball as close to the target as possible on a sloped surface. Skill Ball puts dribbling skills to the test in a high-intensity obstacle course, while Score Ball is a quick-fire shooting game that rewards precision with high scores.
The experience builds to Pin Ball, a frantic finale played on a giant football pinball machine.
Each session lasts around 90 minutes and includes a welcome in The Boot Room before ending with a final score reveal in The Player’s Lounge.
The venue also features a café bar, merchandise stalls, extra mini-games and spaces designed to enhance the overall visitor experience. Group bookings are available, with party packages tailored for occasions ranging from children’s birthdays to corporate events.
Footy Nation adds another attraction to the growing leisure offer at Ocean Plaza, joining neighbouring venues including Vue Cinema, TenPin and PlayTown, alongside the complex’s food and drink options.
