SERIES ONE – EDITION SIXTEEN
In the sixtieth edition in our Faces of Liverpool series we caught up with Marc Leslie aged 42 from South Liverpool; a Professional Singer.
What do you love about Liverpool?
As a professional singer working in and around Liverpool, I spend a lot of time socialising and meeting new people from all over the world, who live here or choose to visit. I love the friendliness of the scouse people and how they adapt to every race and people from other cities/countries.
Name one main thing about living in Liverpool that makes you proud?
The Beatles, 4 of my fellow scousers ROCKING IT.
If you could describe Liverpool in 3 words what would they be?
Creative, fierce and loving.
Name one place in Liverpool that holds a special place in your heart?
Anfield stadium (Liverpool football club) great childhood memories and still making these to this day.
Is there anything on your ‘Bucket List’ to do in Liverpool that your still yet to achieve?
I’ve always wanted to do a ghost tour in my city but not yet got round to it.
Do you have any tales of Liverpool or claim to fame while in the city?
Over the years I’ve performed on some of the biggest stages in Liverpool such as the Liverpool empire, the Neptune theatre and the royal court etc. Along the way I’ve met some amazing celebrities such as The FONZ (Henry Winkler) and was honoured to have lunch with him during rehearsals, I’ve also toured with the Eurovision winners from 1981, Bucks Fizz, and, most recently I spent time with Take That whilst they were here on tour.
