Known as a city that always comes together in people’s times of need, Liverpool’s community is second to none in the unity stakes. Always wanting to explore our beautiful city and the people that make it one that has been voted high in the ranks of kindness, we stumbled across a fresh new campaign that is bringing joy to so many with their selfless act.

Kit it Out, is an organisation that aims to provide football kits to people who may not have their own, due to unformidable circumstances.

Recently formed, the idea behind Kit it Out was to provide support to those who may be less fortunate than others, especially larger family whom may have more than one child making it sadly impossible to provide a kit, due to the costly price tag for one supporting football team kit alone (average full kit costing £90.00 per person).

So far, the campaign has received donations of over 250 kits in just over a month, which alone is a massive achievement and the support shown by all has been such a fantastic response. The team so far have visited 6 community centres within the city, and plan to expand further into the Liverpool City Region spanning across Merseyside to the Wirral.

The future is bright for the Kit it Out team, with ideas for the future being not only to increase numbers on the kits donated, but to also help further with the possible donation of football boots and any other necessities needed so everyone can enjoy the beautiful game.

The concept of this idea is heart-warming, and any city worth its salt will understand the great depths the people of Liverpool will go above and beyond not only when our own are struggling, but also how we help any adopted scousers that come walking amongst us.

Show your support to a great cause and donate any kits or football essentials to the Kit it Out campaign. For further information on how to donate or support the cause head to www.Facebook.com/KititOut.football/
