Young Blues Cook Up Charity Treat for Everton Community Fixture Against Chelsea

  • March 13, 2026
  • By Editor - Elliot Thompson

Everton’s Junior Fans’ Forum has helped inspire a limited-edition doughnut that will raise funds for Everton in the Community (EitC) ahead of their dedicated Community Day fixture against Chelsea.

The Premier League match at Hill Dickinson Stadium on Saturday, 21 March, will celebrate the life-changing work undertaken by the Club’s official charity, showcasing a number of its 60+ programmes throughout the day.

In support of the event, the group of young Blues joined forces with Aramark to create a treat that will see the Club’s catering partner donate proceeds from every sale directly to the EitC cause.

From Initial Idea to Matchday Treat

The Junior Fans’ Forum met with Everton in the Community officials and the Club’s Fan Engagement team earlier this year to explore creative ways that young supporters could play a role in fundraising.

The group shared a range of ideas centred around matchday engagement, with the concept of a special edition doughnut quickly emerging as the standout suggestion.

To ensure the final product embodied the spirit of the young supporters, a survey was distributed to a select group of junior fans to help shape the early design concepts.

During the recent half-term break, Forum members came together with Aramark and its supplier, Planet Doughnut, to review and sample prototype bakes, exploring various flavour combinations and decorations.

A final design has now been agreed upon and will be unveiled in the build-up to next weekend’s match.

Impacting the City Region

Adam Bateman, Culinary Director for Aramark, shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration:

“It’s been a joy to work with the Junior Fans’ Forum to produce this special doughnut in celebration of Everton in the Community.

“Their creativity was the spark, and I think together we’ve come up with something that all Evertonians will love.

“I’m sure it will be a popular matchday treat, and hopefully we can help boost the funds for the charity, which continues to do such remarkable work for people across the city.”

Established in 1988, Everton in the Community has been providing a lifeline to those most in need across the Liverpool City Region for more than three decades, helping to create brighter futures and stronger communities through its innovative and impactful delivery.

The final design of the limited-edition doughnut will be revealed next week.
