Celebrate John Lennon’s birthday with a special full-day guided tour exploring some of the South Liverpool locations connected to Lennon, The Beatles and their early years.
Beginning at Strawberry Field, guests will meet their accredited Green Badge guide and driver before setting off by minibus to discover locations that played a part in the story of John Lennon and The Beatles.
The tour visits Woolton Village and St Peter’s Church, followed by an external stop at Mendips, Lennon’s childhood home. Guests will then return to Strawberry Field for lunch with special guests, with time to explore the exhibition, gardens and shop.
Later in the afternoon, the tour continues to Sefton Park Hotel, a restored Victorian villa that was once the home of original Beatles bassist Stuart Sutcliffe. The hotel houses a curated collection of photographs and letters connected to Sutcliffe and his life.
The day also includes a guided visit to Calderstones School, formerly Quarry Bank High School, where John Lennon was a pupil.
