The much-loved Summer Fete is back at Strawberry Field to mark the anniversary of the Salvation Army children’s home, which first opened its doors in 1936.
Join them on Saturday 5 July 2025, from 10am to 4pm, as they celebrate Strawberry Field’s proud legacy of community service.
This free event — once a favourite of a young John Lennon and his Aunt Mimi in the 1940s and 50s — will be packed with entertainment for all ages. Expect live music, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities throughout the day.
Musical highlights include performances from the Wall of Sound choirs, local acts Northern Li9ht and There’s Moo, along with the Strawberry Field Ukulele Band and the Steps to Music group, made up of local young people.
There’ll also be a variety of stalls from local makers and seasonal treats from the on-site Imagine More Café.
