Hit musical Mean Girls is heading to the Liverpool Empire this October as the award-winning stage show arrives in the city for a two-week run.
Based on the much-loved 2004 film, the musical follows Cady Heron as she swaps life with her zoologist parents for the unfamiliar world of North Shore High. Before long, she finds herself caught up with Regina George, Gretchen and Karen – better known as The Plastics.
When Cady sets out to bring down Regina’s reign, she quickly discovers that navigating high-school friendships, rivalries and popularity can be every bit as challenging as surviving in the wild.
Written by Tina Fey, Mean Girls combines familiar characters from the film with original songs, comedy and a new take on Cady’s story. The Liverpool production stars Emily Lane as Cady, Vivian Panka as Regina George and Liverpool’s own Jennifer Ellison.
