Daniel and his young family moved to Wirral from Sri Lanka in 2022, and Daniel practices massage while his wife studies to be a nurse. Thanks to many rave reviews and word of mouth, D Stress Massage has taken off even better than expected, particularly amongst those with pain and sports injuries; however, the family had to endure great hardship initially.
Daniel explained:
“When we first moved to Moreton we weren’t financially settled as my wife started studying to become a registered nurse here. We joined the church and people were so kind and supportive, we instantly felt at home. For our first Christmas we couldn’t afford any presents for our children, but our neighbour Jacky brought us an endless amount of presents for them. It was unbelievable!”

I decided to set up my massage business whilst my wife trains to be a nurse and thanks to all the reviews it’s going even better than I expected.”

“When I was a child in Sri Lanka, I used to give my mother massages and I was so good at it that she made me give her them regularly. I actually became a pharmacist back home but after she passed away I thought about what I did for her and so decided to develop my skills in a professional way — qualifying in sports massage and ayurvedic massage.”
“To bring these skills to help the people of Merseyside is a great honour for me, especially as the people here have been so good to my family. The name Ebenezer means ‘helping hands’ in my country and that is exactly what I am doing with my hands — helping people. Soon I am planning to give back further by offering free massages to charities and those in need.”
