Families looking for an unforgettable summer adventure can head to Knowsley Safari as the popular Camp Knowsley returns for the school holidays with more activities and extra Safari Sleepover dates.
Running from Monday, July 20 to Monday, August 31, Camp Knowsley offers a packed programme of bushcraft experiences designed to help children and adults discover new outdoor skills while enjoying a day surrounded by wildlife.
Set within the Safari’s woodland, visitors can take part in hands-on survival challenges, nature-inspired crafts and interactive activities suitable for the whole family.
Best of all, Camp Knowsley is included in the standard admission price, giving visitors even more value throughout the summer holidays.
Bushcraft challenges and outdoor fun for all ages

Every day, guests can test themselves with the popular Bushtucker Challenge, tackling a range of survival skills, including:
- Fire-lighting
- First aid techniques
- Paracord survival bracelet making
- Stone Age tool pendant crafting
- Bug eating challenges
Families can also enjoy a variety of woodland activities, including:
- Nature trails
- Den building
- Campfire pancake making
- Marshmallow toasting
- Learning how to purify water in the wild
The activities are designed to encourage children to get outdoors, build confidence and learn practical skills while having fun during the school break.
Visitors can also take advantage of the Government’s Great British Summer Savings Scheme, with discounted admission available throughout the holidays.
For those planning multiple visits, Knowsley Safari is also launching its Great British Summer Pass from 6 July until 31 August, offering unlimited visits for the duration of the summer.
The pass costs £45.50 for adults and £41.13 for children, allowing families to enjoy the Safari as often as they like.
Safari Sleepovers offer a unique overnight wildlife experience

For families wanting to extend their adventure, Knowsley Safari is once again hosting its popular Safari Sleepovers, giving guests the opportunity to spend the night surrounded by more than 500 animals.
The overnight experience includes accommodation in an explorer-style bell tent complete with beds and cosy blankets, while guests can enjoy exclusive activities including:
- A VIP Safari Tour
- Campfire songs
- Cooking breakfast over an open fire
- Full access to all Camp Knowsley bushcraft activities
Guests will fall asleep close to some of the Safari’s most iconic residents, including Southern white rhinos, Amur tigers, giraffes, zebras and Andean bears.
Safari Sleepovers will take place on Saturday, August 8, 15 and 22, with just eight tents available on each date. Each bell tent can accommodate up to four people.
