As the old saying goes, breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so make sure you’re not missing out when in Liverpool.

The family-run business have tons of coffees, speciality lattes and loose leaf teas to get you started, or if you want a more filling drink, there are smoothies galore on offer.

Of course, there is a full English on the cards with a plant-infused twist involving some tofu scramble.

A hash brown stack with plenty of extras may tickle your fancy unless you fancy a bagel or an omelette, whilst there are several different options for however you like your vegan eggs in the morning.

Those who love a sweet start to the morning won’t be disappointed with two options of pancakes.

Moose Coffee

This Family-owned and proudly independent breakfast joint has one ambition: to deliver the most authentic North American breakfast experience you can dream of.

Get started with a special Moose Coffee, which is made from coffee beans from the region of Campos Altos in Brazil.

Scrambled eggs and Benedict eggs are on offer, but the American specials are the homemade pancakes and waffles.

Order some moose stacks with several sweet options or mix and match with sweet and savoury.

A special menu is always on with a hummus of the day, as well as a kids’ menu for when the little ones want a yummy start to their day.

On the famous Castle Street Ours has every bit of breakfast you could want, from full English to rump steaks.

Go for something a bit different with a crispy chilli egg or a breakfast quesadilla, unless you challenge yourself to get your mouth round the breakfast burger.

The sweet side of the menu will be whispering your name with French toast and buttermilk pancakes. 

Then there is a brunch menu which may just lead to a cheeky cocktail or three if you’re feeling in that mood, possibly on a special occasion or just a Saturday, because who cares.

Dale St Kitchen & Bar By Shino

Fresh juices to start off a day of good vibes should be as tempting as anything gets at Dale St Kitchen by Shino. 

The establishment has an award-winning classic English breakfast ready and waiting for you, as well as so much more.

The chefs make jam on toast look like one of the fanciest meals you can get your hands on, which says it all about the quality of the food on display.

If you cannot decide then make the most of the option to build your own breakfast, or if you want a quick bite, don’t overlook the small breakfast menu, which of course, can be made bigger with plenty of sides ready to order.

Liverpool Cocktail Week is returning this October, bringing 10 days of cocktails, exclusive offers and special experiences to bars and restaurants across the city. Running from Friday 9 October to Sunday 18 October 2026, the city-wide festival will return for its fourth edition, with more than 50 venues joining this year’s line-up. Cocktail lovers will be able to explore some of Liverpool’s best-known bars alongside independent venues, restaurants and hotels, with participating names including Black Cat Club, BCD, The Alchemist and Turtle Bay. Cocktails from £5 with Liverpool Cocktail Week wristbands At the heart of the festival is the official Liverpool Cocktail Week wristband, which gives holders access to hundreds of signature cocktails priced from £5, as well as discounts on drinks, food and other offers. Wristbands are valid throughout all 10 days of the festival, giving visitors plenty of opportunity to try new venues and explore Liverpool’s hospitality scene. Cocktails included in the festival will be priced between £5 and £7. Royal Albert Dock joins Liverpool Cocktail Week Royal Albert Dock Liverpool returns as the festival’s official event partner, with 11 venues around the waterfront taking part. The participating dockside venues are Delhi House, Gusto, Lunyalita, Miller & Carter, PANAM, Revolution, Rosa’s Thai, The Botanist, The One O’Clock Gun, The Long Shot and What’s Cooking? Festival-goers will also be able to collect their Liverpool Cocktail Week wristbands from Gusto, making Royal Albert Dock a convenient starting point for exploring the festival. Liverpool Cocktail Week continues to grow Alice Christison, Founder of Liverpool Cocktail Week, said: “We are so excited to be bringing Liverpool Cocktail Week back for another year and to see it continue to grow. What makes the event so special is the incredible hospitality community in Liverpool - from the bartenders creating amazing cocktails to the venues that continue to give people a reason to go out and explore the city. “Having more than 50 venues involved this year is a huge milestone, and we’re thrilled to have such a brilliant mix of established names and independent venues taking part. “We’re also delighted to welcome back Royal Albert Dock as our event partner. It’s such an iconic part of Liverpool and a fantastic fit for Cocktail Week. “We want people to use the week as an opportunity to discover new places, support local businesses and enjoy everything the city’s hospitality scene has to offer. “After three years of building Liverpool Cocktail Week, we can't wait to make this year the biggest and best one yet.” Liverpool Cocktail Week 2026 dates and wristband prices Liverpool Cocktail Week takes place from Friday 9 October until Sunday 18 October 2026. Wristband prices start at £9.95 for Early Bird tickets, followed by £12.95 for Advance Wristbands and £14.95 for Final Release. Group wristbands for four or more people are priced at £7.95 per person.
