Bowring Park will bring together live music, young performers, family activities and local businesses this Saturday as it hosts its first ever Bowring Park Music Festival.
Taking place on Saturday 29 August, the free festival will run throughout the day, with Bowring Park’s new outdoor stage providing a platform for local performers from across Knowsley and the wider Liverpool City Region.
The festival is supported by Better Youth Spaces, helping to create more opportunities for young people to access creative activities and experiences locally.
The day begins at 10:30am with Drama Kids, followed by performances from Tribe Performing Arts and Cav ‘Spirit of the City’, before DJ Darcie Bennett takes over in the afternoon.
Live music will continue into the evening with Sean Mack at 5pm, Caitlyn Eve at 6pm, John Riley and Every Single One of Yas at 7pm, before Toy Car closes the festival from 8pm.
Away from the stage, there will be plenty happening throughout the park, including a Crafty Monkeys craft session from 12pm – 4pm, alongside food and drink, family activities and stalls from local independent businesses, including Apollo Bakery and Charm Offensive.
It will also be one of the first major events to make full use of the park’s new outdoor stage, creating a new space for live entertainment and community events in Knowsley.

“We want Bowring Park to be somewhere people can come together and enjoy the talent that exists right on their doorstep, and this festival is a great example of that.
“There is so much creativity in Knowsley and across the local area, particularly among young people, and we want the park to provide a platform for people to be seen and celebrated.
“From children getting up on stage in the morning to live bands playing into the evening, alongside local traders, food, drink and activities around the park, we want there to be something for everyone.
“This is our first music festival at Bowring Park and hopefully just the start of what we can build here. Best of all, it’s completely free, so we’d love to see families and people from across the community come down and be part of it.”
The festival will provide a fitting finale to a busy summer at Bowring Park, which has seen an expanded programme of events and activities giving local people more opportunities to come together and enjoy the park.
The Bowring Park Music Festival takes place on Saturday 29 August, with activities beginning at 10:30am. The Park is located on Roby Road, Huyton just off the M62 and entry to the event is free.
