Liverpool’s creative and digital hub Baltic Creative CIC has welcomed a fresh wave of businesses to its growing community, as demand for workspace across its buildings continues to rise.
Among the latest arrivals are creative media studio Helta Skelta, men’s jewellery brand Craft’d London and games developer Skyhook Games Studio, which has taken two suites at Digital House.
Baltic Creative CIC has now spent more than 15 years supporting creative and digital businesses in the Baltic Triangle. Today, it provides workspace for around 100 organisations and helps sustain approximately 400 jobs across the area.
The growth is not only being driven by new tenants, with a number of existing businesses also expanding their presence across the campus.
Music and entertainment company Modern Sky has increased its footprint within the portfolio, while music events brand Binary has moved from one of the shed spaces at Creative Campus into a larger studio on Jordan Street.
Fast-growing e-commerce business Rebo UK has also significantly expanded, more than doubling its footprint after relocating from a 729 sq ft unit in Digital House to a 1,765 sq ft space on New Bird Street.
As its tenant community continues to grow, Baltic Creative CIC is also recruiting for three new roles to support rising demand across its buildings and its own future expansion plans. The vacancies include Head of Communications & Partnerships, Head of Property and a part-time Office Administrator.
Lynn Haime, Chief Executive Officer at Baltic Creative CIC, said:
“We’re seeing new businesses choose Baltic Creative CIC, while existing tenants continue to grow and move through our buildings as they develop.
“Being able to support that full journey, from early-stage businesses through to larger, established teams, all within the same community, is exactly what we’re here to do.
“As more businesses take on additional space, it’s important we have the right people in place to support them day to day. These roles help us keep pace with demand and make sure our buildings continue to work for the businesses based here.”
So far this year, Baltic Creative CIC has hosted delegations from across the UK and Ireland, alongside continuing its work with education and skills partners including Liverpool John Moores University and the University of Liverpool.
The organisation also recently supported the MIND (Mums in Data) programme in partnership with IN4 Group, helping women return to work through digital skills and placements.
