A Journey Through Wonderland

The enchanting Curiouser and Curiouser exhibition, which opened on Saturday, 22nd November, has captivated attendees with its interactive displays and deep dive into Lewis Carroll’s iconic tale. From seeing illustrations of Lewis Carroll’s original story to crafting their own Alice-inspired creations to meeting the quirky characters of Wonderland, visitors praised the exhibit as “wonderfully imaginative” and “perfect for families.”

Welcome to Wonderland: A Community Celebration

A Welcome to Wonderland event on Saturday, 23rd November brought Prescot to life, showcasing the rich spirit of the town in a day filled with creativity, collaboration, and festive cheer, as local businesses hosted Wonderland-themed activities and performances that charmed visitors and highlighted the vibrant community spirit of Prescot. Louise Gillespie, owner of Jessie & Co and Chair of Prescot Business Club, emphasises the spirit of the season:

“Prescot is more than just a town—it’s a vibrant, collaborative community. This year, by embracing an enchanting Alice in Wonderland theme for Christmas, we’re inviting visitors to step into a world of whimsy while exploring our town centre. This celebration isn’t just about festive fun; it’s an opportunity for our cherished independent businesses to shine and for everyone to experience the warmth and uniqueness that Prescot has to offer.”

The event attracted a significant number of attendees, bringing not only Prescot, but especially the theatre and Curiouser and Curiouser to life.

The preview performances of Alice in Wonderland at Shakespeare North Playhouse have left audiences spellbound. The sequel’s inventive storytelling, coupled with dazzling visuals and heartfelt performances, drew rave reviews.

The production brings Alice back to Wonderland, now under the icy rule of The Duchess, who uses memory-wiping jam tarts and mysterious eggs to control the kingdom. With her old friends, the Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat, Alice must once again rise to the challenge and help restore freedom and joy to Wonderland. Brimming with whimsy, adventure, and heart, this production promises to be a spellbinding experience for all ages.

Experience the magic: Curiouser & Curiouser runs alongside Alice in Wonderland throughout the holiday season. Tickets for Alice in Wonderland are in high demand, so book early to secure your spot in this magical adventure.

Step into Wonderland and create memories that will last a lifetime!
