The Mersey Tunnel Tours take you on a unique behind-the-scenes look at the famous Queensway Tunnel, which began construction in 1925. The tour will give you insight into the construction of the tunnel, you will also have the opportunity to visit the original control room, see the giant ventilation fans in action and go down to watch the traffic in the tunnel, deep below the city streets.

Discover which blockbuster films have featured scenes shot within the tunnel. Films include Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1, Fast & Furious 6 and Jack Ryan.
Starting at the George Dock Building, tours take place on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 5.00pm, and Saturday mornings at 10.00am, the tour will take approximately two hours. Unfortunately, only children over 10 years of age are allowed on the tour.
