Liverpool's Black Arts organisation BlackFest to host celebration of the Liverpool arts scene

Liverpool’s Black Arts organisation BlackFest are bringing creatives together for one of their largest online social gatherings before bidding farewell to 2020.

Although it has been tough this year, it’s amazing to see how we have all got through and there is much hope in the future.

We’re collaborating with Big Condo Records and Make It Write, to bring creatives together for a big celebration of the rich Liverpool arts scene and its talent.

Enjoy a night of music, poetry, script reading, a quiz and entertainment!

We have amazing headliners and talent, including:

Tabitha Jade, Subblue, LeeTz, One Digtiz, Bluboy, Pari Richards, Sarah Louise, Stephanie Robinson, Chris Renegrade, Raven Radha, Breezy Ideygoke, Tara Matamba, Kai Jolley, Dayzy, Naami Jane Soya and many more…

PLUS:

A rehearsed reading of:

‘The Graham’s Christmas’ Written by: Sharon Colpman, Bernie Winston, Kai Jolley, Pari Richards, Sarah Louise, Neil Paul, Tia Jennings, Tara Matamba, Jubeda Khatun, Dom John and Vivi.

Please join us as the event is FREE to access on our Facebook Page. Donations will be very much appreciated via Eventbrite here.

If you are a creative and want to come in the Zoom with us, please drop us an email on blackfestcreatives@gmail.com

You can make a donation towards future projects we envisage and manifest at BlackFest.

About BlackFest

The homegrown annual grassroots combined Black Arts festival was founded in 2018. The festival platforms & develops work by Black creatives & communities in established arts venues and community spaces; bridging the gap between institutions & marginalised communities, having active conversations. The festival answers a crucial need in the city’s cultural offer, celebrating Black arts.

Their programme includes dance, visual arts, music, film, literature, theatre and community productions. Using arts for social inclusion, community cohesion and making arts accessible for underrepresented & underdeveloped groups with positive outcomes in well- being, employment, further training championing leadership.
