Imagine That! to host a summer festival

Imagine That! to host a summer festival

A summer festival with global fun and activities from around the world is coming to Liverpool’s Imagine That!

The children’s science and discovery centre is gearing up to host an exciting summer festival for children and families.

Conveniently nestled near the M62, the centre provides interactive experiences and endless entertainment for kids aged 10 and under. Parents can also join in the fun and, with complimentary parking, it’s the perfect stress-free destination for a memorable family day out.

Adding to the charm, this summer sees the introduction of a giant butterfly bench trail, creating the ideal backdrops for cherished family photos. Get ready for a summer extravaganza that promises laughter, learning, and lasting memories at Imagine That!

The summer festival promises a variety of activities inspired by different countries. From crafting paper lanterns for Japan’s Tanabata festival to making flying butterfly cards for the South Korea Butterfly Festival, visitors can immerse themselves in traditions from around the world.

The festival also offers the chance to decorate Chinese fans for the Chinese Spring Festival, participate in a kite making workshop inspired by India’s Kite Festival, and even learn circus skills giving a nod to Italy.

Children can showcase their creativity by decorating fridge magnets representing various countries and engage in the usual (but unusual) art activities like painting a real car.

Additionally, there’s even more fun for all young scientists and explorers with interactive exhibits, science shows, bubbles and heaps of engaging activities in the Bright Sparks Science Zone.

With 45 minutes to explore each of the four zones – Imagination Village, Artbeatz, Bright Sparks and Slime Factory – young minds are encouraged to unleash their imagination and curiosity.

While in Artbeatz, families can venture into the outdoor area and watch their junior palaeontologists unearth fossils of ancient dinosaurs.

Manager Abby Wallace said:

“We’re excited to be opening the doors to Imagine That! every day of the school holidays.

“And this summer, we’re inviting families to bring their children along for an unforgettable day of fun and learning at Imagine That!

“Our goal is to spark a love for science in children, promising them a fun and educational day out that will inspire young minds.

“We love seeing families making memories that will stay with them for years to come. Our festival theme is perfectly suited for children aged 10 and under – and, of course, their parents and grandparents will love it too!”

Imagine That! is open every day from July 20th to September 1st. Tickets must be booked in advance. For more information visit the website or call 0151 228 2175.
