In honour of Daaji’s historic return to the UK, there will be a massive free meditation event at Intercontinental London, The O2, on Saturday, May 18, from 10 AM to 12 PM. A busy week will see the spiritual guru return after ten years to accept the esteemed Freedom of the City award.
Leading spiritual group Heartfulness, together with its renowned Global Guide Daaji, are preparing for a busy week of events as Daaji makes his much-awaited return to the UK. Planned for May 16–22, 2024, this visit will be a historic occasion as Daaji reunites with UK audiences.
Heartfulness and Daaji will present a Masterclass in Meditation at the InterContinental London, The O2 on Saturday, May 18 from 10 AM to 12 PM to launch the series of events. This free public event will give guests a rare chance to hear directly from Daaji about the transforming power of mindfulness meditation.
Promising to be informative and motivating, the event is expected to draw over 3000 participants from the UK and Europe, including renowned dignitaries. Recognised worldwide for his contributions, Her Excellency Patricia Scotland, KC, Commonwealth Secretary General, has appointed Daaji, a recipient of the prestigious Padma Bhushan award in India, as the Global Ambassador for Peacebuilding and Faith to the Commonwealth.
During his visit, the City of London will present Daaji with the prestigious Freedom of the City Award in recognition of his lifetime commitment to humanity and significant efforts in education, wellness, and environmental projects through Heartfulness.
Expressing his gratitude, Daaji stated:
“I am delighted to reconnect with the United Kingdom and accept the Freedom of the City Award. This recognition is an honor. Now more than ever, unity and harmony are important. Meditation serves as an important means to bring the world together.”

Daaji will meet with distinguished local leaders during his visit, including signing a unique Memorandum of Understanding with the Commonwealth Secretariat, giving a speech at the 22nd Commonwealth Education Ministers Conference at Marlborough House, speaking with Members of Parliament at the House of Lords, and meeting with BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha practitioners at the Neasden Temple in London.
Daaji will also have the opportunity to establish a mutual cooperation in the delivery of humanitarian projects with the founders of The Unity of Faiths Foundation (TUFF), a British non-governmental organisation operating on four continents worldwide. Through their many initiatives that have included sports, music, and creativity, the charity has been crucial in advancing peace and kindness around the globe.
