Switch CoffeeBar has opened in the heart of Wolstenholme Square.
Offering coffee from 8am everyday, guests will experience a notable ‘switch’ when it hits 5pm where Switch CoffeeBar’s expertly crafted cocktail menu is available.
By day, Switch CoffeeBar is a coffee lovers haven with flat whites, cortado, espresso, latte, cappuccino, Americano, mocha, espresso tonic, espresso orange, and a selection of iced coffees including iced mocha, iced latte, iced Americano, iced espresso tonic, nitro cold brew and affogato.
For those who prefer alternatives to coffee, Switch CoffeeBar will also serve hot chocolate, chai latte and a selection of teas.
Available for takeaway or for guests to sit in, Switch welcomes business meetings, coffee dates with friends, family pit stops whilst shopping in Liverpool City Centre or for those who work remotely.
Created by entrepreneur Jon Dunnington, who is from Liverpool and now splits his time between his hometown and New York City, Switch CoffeeBar will bring an entirely new all day destination to the city.
Seamlessly transitioning from day to night with tongue in cheek neon lights (you’ll see a noticeable ‘switch’ at 5pm!), Liverpool’s new hybrid of coffee shop and cocktail bar will serve a selection of innovative coffee-based cocktails from its global-inspired list, whilst having upbeat music and an infectious atmosphere as a backdrop to its evenings at Switch CoffeeBar.
Standouts from the cocktail list include classics such as a coffee Old Fashioned, ‘The’ Espresso Martini, Irish Coffee, White Russian and there’s also Switch CoffeeBar’s new clarified Pina Colada; a process which is very popular in NYC where Jon resides.
Where possible, Switch CoffeeBar’s Head Mixologist has incorporated used coffee beans to reduce the venue’s waste, perfectly fusing sustainability with creatively.
But guests visiting after 5pm will also have the chance to make their very own Espresso ‘My-Tini’. Following five different steps, guests will write their personalised Espresso Martini on Switch CoffeeBar’s form including what alcohol they’d like from vodka, tequila, Malibu, Cointreau, Rm, Gin and bourbon. Next they’ll choose if they want it to be caffeinated or decaf.
Then it’s picking if they’d like it milky with Baileys or black, then a flavour from a list of syrups including orange, vanilla, hazelnut, caramel, chocolate, mint, coconut and banana and finally, their very own garnish including cocoa dust, shaved chocolate, coconut rim or three coffee beans.
Each form is put into an envelope and attached to the guest’s ‘My-Tini’ with the chance to win a free cocktail or complimentary coffee for their next visit.
Catering for every mood, Switch CoffeeBar will be a go-to for early morning pick me ups where guests can get their caffeine fix right in the heart of the city centre, to relaxed afternoon gatherings before the venue makes a notable ‘switch’ into an evening ambiance.
With a focus on sustainability, Switch CoffeeBar responsibly sources its coffee beans, prioritises eco-friendly packaging, and is committed to waste reduction and energy efficiency.
Operations Manager, Joe Jackson, explained:
“We’re delighted to have opened our doors in the heart of Liverpool’s Ropewalks area. Switch CoffeeBar offers something completely different in the city and we’re really proud to be an excellent coffee shop by day as well as an atmospheric cocktail bar come 5pm.
“Whether you’re a fan of coffee or not, there’s something to suit everyone’s tastes with alternatives including hot chocolate, matcha and chai lattes, and of an evening, you can opt for decaf Espresso Martinis or go for something fruity like our own take on a Cosmopolitan or Pina Colada.
“For those who need their caffeine fix, we offer a wide range of hot and cold coffees and with a focus on sustainability, the used coffee beans have been innnovatively incorporated into many of the cocktails on our list by our talented Head Mixologist.
